(Sorry, all gone.)

Live in Sao Paulo, Brasil - Great live psy/prog gig wth Invisible Opera's Fabio Golfetti.

The 'other' band in the life of the Brazilian Invisibles' main man. Fabio gave me a few copies of this DVD at the Unconvention in 2006 and I have only just got round to having a look (sorry Fab!). Knowing how good the band's CDs are, I slid the DVD into the computer…

From opening moments I was delighted with the quality. It is a fantastically well filmed gig from November 2004 - the band playing a set of largely original compositions, with a 25 piece chamber orchestra. Think middle-period Pink Floyd with Gong/Hillage knobs on and you won't be far from the mark. It's wonderful. Fabio's guitar playing is a revelation, and the quality of his singing - mostly in Portugese with just a couple of songs in English - only adds to the proceedings.

If we ever choose to venture down the Unconvention path again the whole Violetta de Outono band have simply got to be there. Their brand of heartfelt, optimistic psychedelic-progressive rock is a perfect fit.

Oh, one last thing. I know where the Beatles went wrong with 'Tomorrow Never Knows' - it's missing glissando guitar…
