Graham Clark & Stephen Grew

Improvisations, series 1

Wonderful surprising melodic music. Graham's passion is improvisation - it informs and generates the sensibilities and sensitivity he brings to all the music he plays and the bands he performs with. In pianist Stephen Grew he has found a like-minded soul, and the musical paintings they create together are entertaining and engrossing. I hope they record more.

Recorded in four hours in the Haden Freeman Concert Hall at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, on April 1st 2008. All pieces improvised on the day, with no prior preparation and no subsequent manipulation. All compositions by Graham Clark and Stephen Grew.
